Oh, hello!
In my 12+ years of working as a New Orleans Wedding Photographer, I’ve been called a photo ninja, a magician, and a friend by the wonderful clients I’ve worked with.

I’m a follower of the mantra, “Be Excellent to Each Other,” and if my long list of the incredible people I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with is any indication, you receive what you put out into this world!

My wife, Ali, and I were married in this fantastic city at Il Mercato on Magazine St. in 2017, and we adopted our pup, Butter, back in 2019. You can often find us all wandering around City Park, or most recently, learning the game of golf at Audubon Park.

We absolutely love to travel, but we are happy to call New Orleans home. ❤️

  • I would describe my wedding photography style as a mix of Photojournalism, Landscape, with some bits of Editorial, and Lifestyle. Throughout much of the day I’m observing and anticipating the moments, then once we get to portraits, I'll direct rather than the typical rigid posing.
Check out the New Orleans season of the show, “Married at First Sight” on Netflix to see some behind the scenes of my working style!

  • Timeless, True Tone, Film-like images. When photographing, and then editing, I always aim to deliver images that are true to the day, time, location, and general ambiance. Your midday ceremony images won’t look like they were taken after sunset, and vice versa.
Hand-Processed also means that each of your images will be adjusted and corrected for color accuracy and sharpness.

  • Totally. Let me know if you'd like me to send a few over. Happy to share!

  • I do! Depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, I have special rates for weekday weddings and elopements.
I should note that we do reserve Saturdays from March - May and October - November for events needing a minimum of 6 hours of photo coverage.

THE IDEAL MIKE LIRETTE PHOTO CLIENT

You are family oriented and are inspired by art and those you choose to surround yourself with. You appreciate quality and the importance of capturing authentic, lasting memories. Your photos and wedding albums will be a treasured possession, and you realize that as time passes, the photos and memories created become more and more valuable.

Mike made everyone feel so comfortable. It was such a huge help to have his confidence and creative ideas the day of the wedding. He captured so many fun moments that we were so grateful to have. He was a perfect photographer to have for our second line. We have so many great shots. He was quick about getting the photos back to us as well!

All in all, I would recommend him to any bride! I only regret we didn’t use him for our engagement photos as well. He was a pleasure to work with, and we couldn’t be more happy with the pictures.
